Southern Utah

I love our weekend get-a-ways to Southern Utah! From Salt Lake City it’s about a 4 ½ hour drive to St. George and surrounding recreational destinations Hurricane (pronounced ‘her-eh-ken’), and Zion. Not to forget Snow Canyon and Virgin River Gorge. There are heaps of places to play in the warmer and dryer southwest corner of our beautiful state. This weekend we took mountain bikes, hiking shoes and camping gear. We biked the Guacamole trail near Virgin and the JEM trail between Hurricane and La Verkin. We hiked Angels Landing in Zion National Park. And, we played around in St. George, wondering around the Pioneer Park cliffs, hiking the Squeeze slot, flying the drone, and photographing some climbing. Mallorie is getting better each time we ride bikes, it’s been fun to see her progress. Here are a few pictures I captures from our adventures in the desert. Enjoy! -Jon
